On Thursday 14 September, Uplyft and Langford Aboriginal Association (LAA) came together to celebrate the signing of an MoU.
It was a lovely and intimate event between Uplyft and LAA, with a Smoking Ceremony, Welcome to Country, morning tea and a joint signing ceremony where Uplyft's CEO Jo Sadler and LAA’s Senior Executive Officer Sophie Walker officially signed the MoU, all at LAA’s beautiful premises on Imber Turn in Langford.
The MoU formalises Uplyft and LAA’s commitment to collaborate and partner with each other to deliver opportunities that support children and young people to grow and develop, safely.
Uplyft and LAA used to collaborate and partner prior to COVID-19, with the Uplyft Aboriginal Cultural Education Program (WACEP) being hosted at LAA’s facility, but lockdowns and restrictions saw the program move to a larger premise elsewhere.
We’re excited to reconnect with LAA, not just for WACEP, but for the many opportunities that the future holds.
